Dates: 05, 06, 07 and 08 October 2026.
Venue: High Court for the State of Telangana, Hyderabad.

Carry the call letter downloaded from the High Court site. Absence from viva is disqualification. G.O.Ms.No.59 (200 additional JCJ courts, 24.09.2026) does not change this merit list. You are being interviewed against the 94 posts already notified.
Documents to keep in one file
Interview call letter and a photo ID that matches the application.
SSC / date of birth.
Law degree, enrolment and, for direct recruits of this cycle, the practice certificate the 2025 notification required.
Community / EWS / PwBD certificate if claimed.
For transfer candidates: service certificate and the proofs listed in Notification 45/2025.
Two extra photographs of the same specification used in the application.
What a JCJ viva is testing
The Board is not running a second written paper. It is asking whether you can sit as a first-instance judge tomorrow. Recurring themes from AP and TG boards:
A short account of your education, practice or service, without a speech.
Jurisdiction of a Junior Civil Judge and of a Magistrate First Class — pecuniary, territorial, subject-matter.
Interim injunctions, execution, setting aside ex parte decree.
Recording of evidence, chief and cross, exhibits, hostile witness.
Bail, remand, 313 CrPC / corresponding BNSS statement, 138 NI Act trial.
POCSO, PWDVA and JJ Act — the statutes that actually reach these courts.
Telangana-specific Acts on the 2024/2025 syllabus if the question is local: Rent Control, Prohibition, Forest / Wildlife.
Why you want this cadre, and whether you will serve in a district that is not Hyderabad.
Answer in complete sentences. Cite a section only when you are sure. “I will look at the file and the section before I pass an order” is a better judicial answer than a guessed number. Language may move between English and Telugu; be ready for both.
If you are not on this list
The next TG cycle will be a new notification. Prepare on the last written syllabus until that notification prints a new Schedule. AP 2026 is open now (apply by 26.10.2026). Dual preparation still starts from the common core.
