Telangana sanctions 200 new Additional JCJ

courts: what G.O.Ms.No.59 means for aspirants

The Government of Telangana has sanctioned 200 new Additional Junior Civil Judge-cum-

Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class Courts across the District Judiciary. The order is G.O.Ms.No.59, Law (LA, LA&J-Home-Courts.A2) Department, dated 24.09.2026.

This is a court-creation order. It is not a recruitment notification and it does not by itself create 200 JCJ vacancies.

1. What the G.O. actually says

The Registrar (Vigilance), High Court for the State of Telangana, wrote to Government under ROC.No.1186/E1/2025 dated 29.12.2025 and again on 24.09.2026. The High Court asked for sanction of 594 new Additional JCJ-cum-AJMFC Courts, with staff, infrastructure and budget.

Government examined the proposal and sanctioned 200 courts in the first phase. The stations are listed in the Annexure to the G.O. Orders on staff pattern and on recurring and non-recurring expenditure will be issued separately. Finance concurrence is recorded as U.O.No.3641569/1B/A2/EBS.VI/2026 dated 02.09.2026. The order is issued in the name of the Governor by B. Papi Reddy, Secretary to Government, Legal Affairs, Legislative Affairs and Justice.

2. What this G.O. does not do

  • It does not notify JCJ posts. Recruitment still comes only through a High Court notification (screening test, written papers, viva-voce).

  • It does not appoint anyone. The current Telangana JCJ 2025 cycle (Notification 45/2025 dated 01.12.2025) is a separate process — 94 posts, viva-voce scheduled 05–08.10.2026.

  • It does not automatically create 200 extra seats in the next notification. A court without a sanctioned judicial officer and staff is only a court on paper.

  • It is first phase only. The High Court’s original request was 594 courts. 394 remain outside this order.

3. Why the number still matters for JCJ aspirants

Every Additional JCJ-cum-AJMFC Court, once staffed, needs a Civil Judge (Junior Division). That is the post you are writing the exam for. A 200-court first phase, sitting on a High Court request of 594, is the largest structural expansion of the JCJ cadre Telangana has put on paper in this cycle.

The vacancy number in a future notification will depend on:

  • how quickly staff and infrastructure orders follow this G.O.

  • how many of the 200 courts are actually commissioned

  • retirements, elevations and the 28-by-transfer stream already used in Notification 45/2025

  • whether later phases take the remaining courts from the 594 request towards sanction

Do not treat “200 courts” as “200 vacancies next year”. Do treat it as the reason the next few JCJ notifications are unlikely to stay at the 94-post scale forever.

4. Where the 200 courts go

The Annexure totals 200. The load is not even. The Hyderabad metropolitan belt takes a large first-phase share.

Hyderabad metropolitan belt — 71 courts

  • Sessions Judge, Hyderabad — Hyderabad 10

  • City Civil Court, Hyderabad — Hyderabad 4, Secunderabad 2

  • Medchal-Malkajgiri — Malkajgiri 8, Uppal at L.B. Nagar 5, Medchal 6, Kukatpally 6 (25)

  • Rangareddy — Rajendranagar 8, Rangareddy at L.B. Nagar 8, Rangareddy at Kukatpally 5, Hayathnagar 3, Ibrahimpatnam 1, Chevella 2, Shadnagar 2, Amangal 1 (30)

That is 71 of 200 — a little over one-third — in the Sessions / City Civil / Medchal-Malkajgiri / Rangareddy cluster. Aspirants who assume every new court will be a small-town posting should read the Annexure again.

Other high-count stations

  • Hanumakonda 6 + Parkal 1; Warangal at Hanumakonda 4 + Narsampet 1

  • Karimnagar 6 + Huzurabad 1; Khammam 6 + Sathupalli 1 + Madhira 1

  • Sangareddy 6 + Narayankhed 1 + Zaheerabad 1

  • Nalgonda 4 + Nakrekal 1 + Devarakonda 2 + Miryalaguda 2 + Nidamanur 1

  • Jagtial 3 + Metpalli 1 + Korutla 1 + Dharmapuri 1

  • Suryapet 2 + Huzurnagar 3 + Kodad 1 + Thungathurthy 1

  • Yadadri Bhongir 3 + Ramannapet 1 + Choutuppal 2 + Alair 1

Rest of the first-phase map

  • Adilabad — Adilabad 1

  • Bhadradri Kothagudem — Kothagudem 3, Bhadrachalam 1, Manuguru 1

  • Jangaon — Jangaon 2, Station Ghanpur 1

  • Jayashankar Bhupalapally — Bhupalapally 2

  • Jogulamba Gadwal — Gadwal 1, Alampur 1

  • Kamareddy — Kamareddy 2, Banswada 1

  • Kumuram Bheem Asifabad — Sirpur 1

  • Mahabubabad — Mahabubabad 2, Thorrur 1

  • Mahabubnagar — Mahabubnagar 1, Jadcherla 1

  • Mancherial — Mancherial 2, Chennur 1, Bellampally 1, Luxettipet 1

  • Medak — Medak 3

  • Mulugu — Mulugu 1

  • Nagarkurnool — Nagarkurnool 1, Atchampet 1, Kalwakurthy 1

  • Narayanpet — Narayanpet 1, Kosgi 1

  • Nirmal — Nirmal 1, Bhainsa 4

  • Nizamabad — Nizamabad 1, Armoor 1, Bodhan 1

  • Peddapalli — Peddapalli 1, Sultanabad 1, Godavarikhani 2, Manthani 1

  • Rajanna Sircilla — Sircilla 3, Vemulawada 1

  • Siddipet — Siddipet 2, Gajwel 2, Husnabad 1

  • Vikarabad — Vikarabad 1, Pargi 1, Tandur 1

  • Wanaparthy — Wanaparthy 2, Atmakur 1

Station spellings above follow common judicial usage. The Annexure itself uses the G.O. spellings (Manugur, Jedcherla, Bainsa, Godhavarikhani, Thandur, Atair/Alair). Count is what matters for the 200 total; it adds up.

5. How to read this if you are in the 2025 cycle

If you are already on the Telangana JCJ 2025 viva list (81 hall tickets, interviews 05–08.10.2026), this G.O. does not change your present notification. Your selection is against the 94 posts already notified. New courts, if commissioned after appointment, affect posting and later transfer — not the current merit list.

If you are preparing for the next Telangana or Andhra Pradesh JCJ cycle, keep three files open: the current State syllabus, the last notification, and this G.O. The syllabus tells you what to read. The last notification tells you the present scale. G.O.Ms.No.59 tells you why the scale can grow.

6. What to watch next

  1. Staff-sanction G.O. for these 200 courts — that is when judicial officer + ministerial posts get a number.

  2. High Court infrastructure / commissioning orders for individual stations.

  3. Any later-phase G.O. against the balance of the 594-court request.

  4. The next TSHC Civil Judge (Junior Division) notification, and whether it cites these new courts in the vacancy statement.

7. Short verdict

G.O.Ms.No.59 dated 24.09.2026 is the first-phase sanction of 200 Additional JCJ-cum-AJMFC Courts. The High Court had asked for 594. Staff and money will come in later orders. Do not convert 200 courts into 200 vacancies in your head. Do convert it into a reason to stay on the Telangana JCJ syllabus and to treat the next notification as a live possibility, not a distant one.
